Joe Azbell

Attorney Joe Azbell has dedicated his legal career to providing clarity to his client's legal problems through competent and compassionate representation. He grew up learning the value of hard work, and he applies these values to help find creative solutions to his client's legal problems.

Joe graduated from the Ohio State University in 2004. In 2008, he graduated from the University of Wyoming Law School with honors. He began his legal career defending federal agencies in personal injury and employment law matters at the United States Attorney’s Office for the District of Wyoming. In 2012, he and his family decided to move to Grand Junction. Since moving to Grand Junction, Joe has focused his legal career on representing clients who have been wronged by big businesses and insurance companies. Joe previously owned his own firm, Azbell & Groves, LLC, and was a shareholder at a local personal injury firm. Since deciding to join Veritas, Joe’s practice has focused on cases involving automobile and truck crashes, premises liability cases, employment discrimination, and workplace injuries.

During his legal career, Joe has obtained several trial victories and has argued in front of the Colorado Court of Appeals and the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals. In 2015, he obtained one of the largest recorded employment law verdicts on the Western Slope in a pregnancy discrimination case against a local government.

Mr. Azbell is an active member of his church and is part of its leadership team. He is a parent to two boys. When not at work, he can be found with his family skiing at Powderhorn, mountain biking at the Lunch Loops, or exploring the Western Slope in his Airstream travel trailer.
