Gary Doehling grew up in Los Alamos, New Mexico. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Arizona State University College of Business in 1979 and received his Juris Doctor from Arizona State University College of Law in 1982. He moved to Grand Junction, Colorado after graduating from law school and had been a trial attorney in Western Colorado and Easter Utah until retiring in 2022.
