If you've been in an accident and suffered from injuries, then you may be entitled to compensation. Take for instance accidents like this one that involved a motorcyclist who was killed. This case could be a lot like yours, and if you've lost someone you love or have suffered injuries due to a negligent driver, then you may want to take legal action.
In the June 25 report about the motorcycle accident in Colorado Springs, a man was reported dead only a short time after he was hit by a car. He had been on a motorcycle, driving along Research Parkway. He was wearing a helmet, and the police didn't report that he was violating any traffic laws at the time of the crash.
Nevertheless, the driver of a 2008 Jeep Wrangler collided with the motorcyclist. It's believed that the driver was heading west on Research Parkway and intended to turn onto Chapel Hills Drive when the driver turned in front of the motorcyclist. The accident, which happened at around 4:50 p.m., had an emergency response, but the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
Now, police are charged with looking into accidents like this one. Over time, they will look at the scene, investigate damage to vehicles, consult medical personnel and speak with those who witnessed the accident. Through investigations, police are able to determined if anyone should be charged with a crime like negligence or reckless driving. This particular case is still under investigation with no talk about potential charges, but if your case has been vetted and should have resulted in charges, you may be able to seek compensation for your injuries.
