Authorities in Haywood County, Tenn., said the crash of a medical helicopter near a road Thursday apparently killed the three crew members aboard.
An official with the Hospital Wing medical transport company, which owned the aircraft, confirmed there were three crew members on the helicopter, The Jackson (Tenn.) Sun reported.
Identities of the crew members were not released.
No patients were on the helicopter, the official said.
As a precaution, authorities blocked off the road near the crash site with nearly 12 emergency vehicles.
